Sonic alchemist originally from Mexico City, Viiaan has transplanted her musical vision to the streets of Berlin after moving through New York and Montreal.

Dubbed by Mixmag as one of the top 25 artists to watch for 2026, her productions have already found homes on the likes of Polygonia’s QEONE,  DJ Plead’s SUMAC, Woozy,  International Chrome and poems – plus collaborations with several currently influential imprints on the horizon.

Viiaan’s sound operates in tension and shadow, driven by fractured breaks, weighted percussion, and low-lit dub and techno structures. Rooted in 80s and 90s Detroit influence and guided by the primal force of drums across cultures, her work balances darkness with groove. Ancient rhythm and spoken word remain at the core, functioning less as ornament and more as structure.

Her diversity as a DJ and story-telling selections have lead her into the booths of notable venues such as Nowadays, Elsewhere, Tresor, Subclub, Tillatec and Ormside to name but a few.

Also a resident of Refuge Worldwide and curator of event series ‘Ambient 4 Babies’ and her own label, ‘Voragine.’
