Sister Zo (real name Zoey Shopmaker) has quickly emerged as an artist on the vanguard of the North American bass and techno scene. Her productions and mixes brings a fresh take to the continuum of UK bass and North American techno and house.
The co-founder of UN/TUCK (a platform releasing music and organizing events curated specifically for trans and queer people in Kansas City) has already played in legendary venues and events on both sides of the pond, including Movement in Detroit, Boiler Room, Nowadays in NYC and Amsterdam’s De School.
Her EPs have featured on labels such as 3024, Scuffed Recordings and Pineapple Records, as well as recent contributions to Nervous Records and Obligated Records compilations. Productions that have earned her support from Ben UFO, Batu, Darwin, Surgeon, Eris Drew and many more.
